About this Course

The 2015 SEMIs International training on Seed Marketing was held from 20th – 25th July, 2015 at CAVS. The course was attended by 31 participants from 15 different countries in Sub-Saharan Africa which included Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda, South Sudan, Malawi, DRC Congo, Mozambique, Nigeria, Niger, Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso and Liberia. Among the 31 participants trained, 7 were female.

The course was co-ordinated by Prof, Justus Munyoki from the SoB and Prof. Kiarie Njoroge from CAVS. However, presentations were delivered from diverse group of facilitators from within the University and outside key among them included Aline O’Connor, Dr. Mary Kinoti, Dr. Rose Nyikal, Prof. Francis Kibera and Mr. Victor Ndambuki.   Among the major expectations listed by participants before the Seed Marketing Course were; to know how to deal with competition, how to price their products appropriately and how to package their products.
